We are pleased to share that there was so much excitement around international travel this past fall, we are now ready to share our 2026 Bellefonte Travel Program destinations. Your 8th-11th grader is invited to join us on one of our upcoming educational travel experiences to the Dominican Republic or Japan for Summer 2026! When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and I would love to have your student join us on one of these adventures. Notice of Construction Blasting Location: Construction site of the new BASD School on Governors Park Road Beginning Monday, July 22, 2024, Wampum Hardware Co. will be blasting several times a day from 9:00 am-3:00 pm for approximately a month. Wampum will sound off a horn/alarm 5 minutes before the blasting and 1 minute before the blasting and then a long horn/alarm for all clear when the blast is complete. You may experience a delay in travel on Governors Park Road during this time. Wampum will be stopping traffic on Governors Park Road before a blast. On Monday, July 29th, there will be informational sessions for new BAHS students. Students and families will learn important information about the high school and have an opportunity to "walk through" their class schedule. There will be two sessions available. The first session will run from 6-7 P.M. and the second session will run from 7-8 P.M. Both sessions are the same. Families only need to attend one of the sessions. We will meet in the high school theatre.

Thanks to our community for organizing the BAHS Career Fair for 11th and 12th graders. Shout out to Leadership Centre County, The Cake Shop by Tati, Houck Family Services, ReMax Centre Realty, Arize FCU, Jana Marie Foundation, Bellefonte Borough, Foxdale Village, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Kristlund Camp, Snavely's Mill, Niagara Bottling Company, Penn Highlands Community College, and Landscape II.

The Council for Art Education administers Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month encourages support for quality school art programs and promotes art material safety. The program provides a medium for recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences unlike any other curriculum subjects, including problem-solving, creativity, observation, and communication. There are over 300 students' artworks exhibited in this virtual exhibition and we feel so good about the work chosen to represent Bellefonte!
