Free & Reduced lunch applications are accepted at any time during the school year. Bellefonte Area School District is excited to offer a faster and easier application process for free and reduced meals. This free service enables families to receive program benefits faster than the traditional paper application.  Your application is electronically submitted to the food services office for processing.  If you prefer not to apply online, please access the paper application below.  All paper applications should be submitted to Bellefonte Area School District, Food Service Department, 318 North Allegheny Street, Bellefonte PA 16823.

An application must be completed and approved each school year. To allow time for parents to reapply for benefits from the prior year, eligibility is carried over to the next school year.  If a new application has not been received and approved by October 9, 2024, eligibility for the program will be forfeited, and parent/guardian are responsible for meal charges. 

Eligible children receive one full lunch per day free of charge. The Free School Breakfast Program(SBP) provides breakfast meals for all Students(no qualification necessary). No charge for Reduced Price eligible student lunches   A full meal includes the entree, the designated number of side dishes and a milk. If a child chooses less than a full meal, he/she is charged the a la carte price for the items selected, charges will also be applied for any extra milk ($.60).

Summer Food for Lunch and Breakfast! Free for all kids ages 18 and under. A great value that helps families save money on groceries! One pick-up up just once per week!
Once per week, a variety of groceries provided by bulk meal distributions; No daily eat on-site or Daily Grab n Go meals will be available.
Pre-registration is required to pick up food for children ages 18 and under.
Sunday of each week, food pick-up is available at designated sites and times (see below) by a parent or legal guardian only.

Children 18 and under can enjoy meals at participating meal sites this summer. SUN Meals are free and help your kids get the nutrition they need all summer long.
