There is a School Board Meeting tonight at 7:00PM at the Bellefonte Area Middle School cafeteria. The public is welcome to attend the meeting!

The next meeting will occur on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The fall sports season is in full swing! All of our athletics have been meeting regularly since or before the middle of August and have been participating in competitions for at least over a week now.

Attached is a preview of each of the teams and a look at what each team has done to prepare for this season and some of their goals as the weeks move along.

Administrators and instructional coaches from Bellefonte ASD, Bald Eagle ASD, and CPI all met today for a fantastic day-long session with Dr. Tracey Severns on the Leader's Role in using Data to Optimize Student Outcomes. Topics presented upon included: data analysis, data reference points, engaging faculty, and measuring progress and performance. Thank you to Dr. Severns for a great day of learning!

Congratulations to Rachel Griel, one of our outstanding certified school nurses, for recently earning her National School Nurse Certification! This significant accomplishment highlights Rachel's dedication to professional excellence and her commitment to providing the highest level of care for our students.

The National School Nurse Certification is a rigorous, nationally recognized credential that validates a school nurse's knowledge and expertise. To become nationally certified, a nurse must meet specific criteria and pass a comprehensive examination covering a wide range of topics, including health education, case management, and public health issues affecting school-aged children.

This certification is a testament to Rachel's hard work and her passion for her role. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and are fortunate to have such a dedicated professional on our team. Please join us in celebrating Rachel's success and thanking her for all she does to keep our students healthy and safe.

Congratulations to Grace Novosel for winning the 2025 Centre County Grange Fair Queen award! Grace is a senior at the Bellefonte Area High School. She is part of the FFA program and Cheer squad. Congratulations, Grace!

Yesterday, the Bellefonte Area School District staff met for their Opening Day activities! The marching band and cheer team performed out front of the theatre to welcome the staff coming in and then the staff listened to keynote speaker Dr. John W. Hodge. Today, the staff is participating in professional learning sessions as they gear up for the new school year.
