To be eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, children must be 5 years of age before September 1, 2026.
Please call the elementary school within your attendance area for an appointment to register your student.

Additional forms required for registration are:

• Birth certificate

• Current immunizations

• Proof of residency - utility bill, mortgage/lease agreement

The following documentation is needed when enrolling a student:

• Current Enrollment forms (see below for forms to download)

• Birth certificate

• Current Immunization records

• Parent/guardian proof of residency through a document that shows your address within the district. This may include:

  • Mortgage/lease agreement

  • Utility bill

• Copy of student's special education Individual Education Plan, or IEP (if applicable)

• Custody documentation (if applicable)

• Please let us know if your child was previously enrolled at Bellefonte Area School District, so that we may retrieve past academic files

Transferring between elementary schools within Bellefonte Area School District

If a student needs to transfer to another elementary school due to a new address within Bellefonte Area School District, the parent/guardian must provide the registration office with proof of residency. This can include a mortgage or lease agreement, electric bill, water bill or other utility bill.
