I am so excited to welcome you to our fourth/fifth-grade classroom! The start of a new school year is an exciting time for both students and families. Your child's well-being and academic growth are my highest priorities, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to teach, encourage, and care for each of my students.

This year is going to be filled with new adventures, exciting challenges, and wonderful books. Along the way, our journey together will have twists and turns, ups and downs, and may even throw us for a loop at times. Through it all, we will grow and learn together by asking questions, discovering new ideas, and learning more about ourselves, others, and the world around us.

Iā€™m local to Bellefonte, having been born at Bellefonte Hospital and living in the area since 1997. Bellefonte Hospital, originally known as Centre County Hospital, first opened in 1902 in a house on North Spring Street before later relocating to the historic Willowbank Building.

I married my high school sweetheart, Eric. We have six children. Hannah, Zachariah, Elijah, Aleah, Victoriah.

I am a graduate of State College Area High School and Penn State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.

I am excited to begin my first year at Marion Walker Elementary School, where I will be teaching both 4th and 5th grade English Language Arts. Prior to joining Marion Walker, I spent four wonderful years teaching 5th grade at Pleasant Gap Elementary. Before coming to Bellefonte, I taught for 27 years in the State College Area School District.

I am passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally, creating a classroom where every child feels valued, encouraged, and capable of success.

Outside of school, I enjoy experiencing all four seasons, walking on the beach, collecting seashells, planting flowers, international travel, and camping.
