Welcome to 8th grade science for the 2025-2026 school year. My name is Mr. Nye. Please check out the Google Classroom pages for information about assignments and other important information.

You will be utilizing your Amplify Science account with Clever periodically but will primarily use Google Classroom for most science work. You will need a writing utensil for science class.

Our Science Curriculum has changed and we will be following the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These standards place less emphasis on content and memorization and more emphasis on skills and universal science concepts. See the labeled diagram below (you may need to zoom in).
