Work permits are required for students, 14-17, living within the district
Bellefonte Area School District is responsible for issuing work permits to all minors who reside in the district, including those who attend non-public schools, cyber charter schools or are participating in a home education program.
To apply, please bring a valid form of identification such as a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport or driver's license to BASD's central office, 318 N. Allegheny St., Bellefonte. The student must also be present to apply. A parent or guardian is not required to be there, however, a work permit will not be issued until the district has the signature of the parent on the application.

More information
The administration office does not keep student records on hand and will need a physical form of identification. Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws require the district to have identification in person when the student applies.
The application can be downloaded here: Application for Work Permit. Applications can be picked up at central office, as well.
