Welcome to my webpage! Here you will find my biographical information as well as some things I enjoy doing in my spare time.
This is a family picture of me, my husband Michael, and my children (now adults), Mikey, Megan and Zach. Without them, I wouldn't be a teacher today. Why? Because I became interested in teaching through volunteer opportunities in their classrooms with the amazing support of my husband.
I am the youngest of five children and grew up in Upper Burrell, PA, which is in Western Pennsylvania. My family and I have lived in Bellefonte for 24 years. I attended college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with minors in Spanish and Public Relations. In 2007, I completed a teaching certification program and received my PA teaching certificate. In the summer of 2010, I earned a Master's in Teaching Degree. I taught fifth grade at St. John School during my first year of teaching. When I was hired by the Bellefonte Area School District, I taught fourth grade for two years at Benner Elementary. I then transferred to fifth grade at Benner where I have remained ever since. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, shop, read, cook, and of course, watch my favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins!
