Health & Physical EducationHello! ☺
My name is Rachel Anderson and I am happy to welcome you and your students to my class! I will be your student’s Health and Physical Education teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I hope that you and your students had a fun and active summer!
As a first-year teacher, I expect to learn and grow just as much as your student will this year. A little about me: I earned my Bachelors of Science in Education and Certification in K-12 Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven University in May 2022. I live in State College, I enjoy reading and anything to do outdoors, and I have a 5-year-old dog named Tia who loves to join me outside. I also love volunteering and traveling to see new things.
This school year we will be working on topics such as throwing, catching, kicking, striking, spacial awareness, team building/cooperative play, team sports, and many more. In our physical education class, my expectations of all students are: we come to learn, we try our best, we play safely, and we are great friends to our classmates. By following these expectations, we will have a positive, safe, successful, and fun learning environment for all students.
I am so excited about meeting and getting to know each of your students and having a lot of fun while learning throughout this school year. This year will be challenging for your students in new ways. However, I look forward to working with them as they progress and become successful learners.
Please feel free to contact me at any time at randerson@basd.net if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Miss Rachel Anderson
