Have you ever wondered how scientists use properties of elements to create colorful fireworks? Have you ever wondered how engineers design cars to minimize damage during a crash? In 8th grade science, we will observe real-life scenarios like these to help us understand various topics in Chemistry and Physics. The goal of this course is for each student to develop a strong understanding of scientific phenomena through asking questions, gathering data and evidence, and participation in laboratory activities. In this course, you are a scientist capable of answering some of the most interesting questions about the world around you!

Topics of Study: Properties of Matter, Chemical Reactions, Phase Changes, Energy, Gravity, Forces and Motion!
