Work Permits are required for students aged 14-17 living within the district.
ATTENTION: Until Further notice, if you need a Work permit, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You do not need to be attending Bellefonte Area School District as long as you live within the district to apply for a work permit.
To obtain a work permit:
- Bring a valid form of identification to the Central Office Administration Building for the student.
- Complete the application at Central Office. The student must be present to apply. A parent or guardian is not required to be there. However, a work permit will not be issued until we have the signature of the parent on the application.
Identification for the applicant can include a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, driver's license, or school ID as long as the form of identification lists the date of birth.
The Administration Office does not keep student records on hand and will need a physical copy of the identification. Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws require that we have the identification in person when the student is applying.
The application can be downloaded here: Application for Work Permit. Applications can be picked up at Central Office as well.
