    Hello!

My name is Mary Boyle-Fedor and I am a 9th grade learning support teacher here at Bellefonte Area High School.  This year, I am teaching a Developmental Reading Flex class and an English 9 Academic class independently.  I also co-teach two English 9 Academic classes this year with Mrs. Kennedy.   This is my sixth year at Bellefonte, and will be my 10.5 year in special education. Here at the high school we look to help students become more independent and responsible learners, preparing them for their future and lives outside of the school, as they will soon be adults.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I like to stay on top of any concerns you may have, so please let me know as soon as possible. The easiest way to contact me is by email.  If you’d prefer to call me, please feel free. I tend to check my email/voicemail periodically throughout the day. Please know that if you get in touch with me, that I will get back to you.  I ask that you give me up to 3 school days to do so, but if it is something urgent I will most likely be in touch with you sooner than that. Over weekends and holidays, I do not tend to check my email, so know that once school resumes, I will get back to you.

    A few helpful hints:

-All teachers have set up and are using a Google Classroom this year.  You can have your child invite you to their classroom, so that you can see their assignments and grades easily.

-PowerSchool, our grading system, offers ways for parents to be alerted when their child's grade changes/drops/etc.  Please check out the following link to set it up: PowerSchool Parent Portal Information

-We offer after-school tutoring for students with IEPs and 504 plans every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:20 to 4:20pm in the testing room- room 242.  I am the supporting teacher for tutoring on Wednesdays and Fridays this year.  If a student is struggling, we're here to help.  They can stop by, sign in and get help and be on their way when they have finished. If your child normally needs transportation home, that can be arranged as well, but your child will need to stay the full hour to access transportation.  Please reach out to me if you have any questions about tutoring!
