• Rober Lumley-Sapanski

    Robert Lumley-Sapanski is in his 16th year as a Director on the Bellefonte Area School Board. He served as Board President for six years and was Vice President board four times.

    He is a Past President of the Pennsylvania School Board Association and was named a Master School Board member by PSBA and recognized as a Distinguished School Board Member by the National School Board Association.

    He is a graduate of the College of Agriculture at Penn State, currently works at Penn State as the Facilities and Safety Coordinator for the Food Science Department, which runs the Penn State Creamery and chaired the Staff Advisory Committee to the Dean twice. He is President of the Centre County United Nations Association that supports our Model UN program.

    Lumley-Sapanski has been involved in many youth activities including Boy Scouts, 4H and youth church and sports programs. Both his children are Bellefonte graduates, Audrey in 2000 and Jonathan in 2005. He has hosted the Folk Show on WPSU Public Radio for over 30 years.

    He and his wife Kate raise sheep, chickens and Golden Retrievers on their farm along the Buffalo Run.
