    We are continuing departmentalization in fifth grade this year at Benner Elementary. I will be teaching Math and Science, and Mr. Downs will be teaching Language Arts and Writing. This will allow us to further individualize instruction for your child. Each student will still have a homeroom teacher. Here are a couple of important notes:
     
     
     
     
    School Supplies:  
    •  All materials, including headphones and a mouse for their Chromebook, will be supplied by the school, so purchasing additional materials is not necessary. However, students may bring supplies from home if preferred, as long as they do not distract from the learning experience.
    Water Bottles:
    • Water fountains are in use again, but students are permitted to bring in their own water bottles from home. A sealable bottle is preferred to prevent spills.
