Welcome to my webpage!
This is a family picture of me, my husband Michael, and my children (now adults), Mikey, Megan and Zach. Without them, I wouldn't be a teacher today. Why? Because I became interested in teaching through volunteer opportunities in their classrooms with the amazing support of my husband. All of my children attended Bellefonte Elementary and are Bellefonte graduates!
My family and I have lived in Bellefonte for 26 years. I attended college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with minors in Spanish and Public Relations. In 2007, I completed a teaching certification program and received my PA teaching certificate. In the summer of 2010, I earned a Master's in Teaching Degree. I taught fifth grade at St. John School during my first year of teaching. My time with the Bellefonte Area School District has been spent mostly teaching fifth grade. I taught fourth grade last year, so I consider myself lucky to be teaching the same class this year! In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, shop, read, cook, and of course, watch my favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins!
