Important Items
-
PROPER FOOTWEAR is a must. Wear shoes that offer support. Poor footwear is the cause of nearly all of the foot, ankle and knee injuries. Sandals are not acceptable for marching. Wrap any weak knees and ankles. Be kind to your feet both the staff will thank you along with your own body.
-
HYDRATE! Bring plenty of water or sport drinks to replenish body fluids. Stay away from sodas or sweet drinks because they tend to make you more thirsty. If you forget we sell water and Sports drinks in the band room.
- Each student is responsible to transport their own equipment to the field each day. Each student should load and unload the trailer when needed. Please help load the trailer after practice.
- Please place all trash in trash cans both at the field and in the band room. The ground and floor are not the trash areas.
-
Guard members should use equipment bags or equipment bin and take proper care of equipment and uniforms. No Silks standing in trailer! Roll your silks! Do not drag your equipment around!
Please pack your lunch each day. You are not to leave school property during lunch UNLESS you are not needed for the afternoon. We will not allow you to drive someplace for lunch with friends. Your safety is our number one concern.
-
Get plenty of rest each night so that you are refreshed both physically and mentally and ready to learn.
-
Participating in Band Camp Theme Days are a great way to keep camp exciting. (Thank you Seniors for the ideas!)
-
Pay attention to the weather. Wear sunscreen and bring appropriate rain gear as needed. We march rain or shine.
-
School dress code is in effect during this week. Appropriate dress is required.
-
All Bellefonte Area School District Student Polices concerning your behavior and the use of alcoholic beverages and drugs are in effect al all times. Students violating these long-established polices will be referred immediately to administration for the appropriate disciplinary action.
-
Students must treat chaperones and staff with respect at all times.
-
Seniors are reminded of the expectations for any planned "activities". We do not want to create an adversarial relationship with the administration or community because students act in an inappropriate manner.
