• Wax Museum project back at Bellefonte Elementary School after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic

After two years of being unable to hold the annual Wax Museum project, the fourth-grade classes at Bellefonte Elementary School had the chance to bring it back this spring. The project allows the students to become experts on a historical -- or other popular -- figure. Teacher Lauren Whitman said they invest about eight weeks on the project that allows them to tap into their creativity, leading to a final held in the school's auditorium that puts their hard work into reality. Other students and employees are also invited to check out the event, while listening to students' quick-hit biographies on the character of their choice. Many students dress the part with accessories.
