    In the district’s spring 2022 Employee Spotlight feature, we have highlighted two district employees. Faculty and staff were randomly selected from the district’s administration, professional staff and support staff. Here, you may find information about maintenance technician Dale Dixon and life skills teacher Jessica Ketner.

  • After gushing about his wife, daughter, job and a second chance at life, Dale Dixon called himself a lucky man. The longtime maintenance technician at Bellefonte Area School District found himself back at work recently after having to take off months due to quadruple bypass heart surgery in August. But the best part about getting healthy again, he said, was having the chance to walk his daughter down the aisle in October, six weeks after the procedure. Read more, here.

  • Jessica Ketner originally graduated from Penn State as a criminal justice major with aspirations to be a detective. While she’s now the K-5 life skills support teacher for Bellefonte Area School District, she said she still feels like she’s using her detective skills when working with students from across the district.
