National Parks theme selected for 2022 One Book, One Bellefonte campaign

During its live watch party on Tuesday, Bellefonte Reads organizers announced the theme of this year's collection for its One Book, One Bellefonte initiative: National Parks. The feature is a picture book by Evan Turk titled, "You Are Home: An Ode to the National Parks."

Accompanying books also include "If I were a Park Ranger," "The National Parks," "Subpar Parks: America's Most Extraordinary Parks and their Least Impressed Visitors" and "Dear Bob and Sue."

At a board meeting in January, it was also announced that Bellefonte Reads collected more than $10,000 in donations to help make this endeavor happen.

Leading up to the announcement of this year's theme, co-chairwomen Nicole Kohlhepp and Jackie Wynkoop, both district instructional coaches, posted a series of clues on social media throughout the month hinting toward the theme. On Jan. 11, it was revealed.
