Students run annual holiday store to benefit PTO
Joshua Conklin tapped into his inner salesman on Dec. 15-16 for Bellefonte Elementary School’s annual holiday store. The fifth-grade student said it was all about organizing the items in a way that would make it easier for the purchaser to find what they’re looking for without having to weed through a mess of items.
Donated by the school’s Parent Teacher Organization, all items sold for just $1, which would then go back to the PTO for yearly activities and events it helps support.
Teacher Michele Litten said this year’s holiday store was run by fifth-grade students, and open on Wednesday to students in third- through fifth-grade and then available to kindergarten through second-grade students on Thursday.
