• Senior class successful in first fundraiser of the school year, while benefiting the community with food donations

The Class of 2022 held its flagship fundraiser Dec. 11, which helped raise about $4,000 for the senior class. Proceeds are planned to benefit activities and events for the students, such as senior ball, a class trip and more, according to Class President Domenic Nelson.

He added that those events are still pending in regard to pandemic restrictions, but said he’s “hopeful” the class can celebrate the way they once could before COVID-19.

In return, the event – a “Raider Reindeer” run held in downtown Bellefonte – also benefited the local food bank as participants were encouraged to donate canned or nonperishable goods. The Raider Reindeer 4K included more than 100 runners. Race results can be found, here: Results
