• Orchestra carries on with concerts

    orchStudents a part of the orchestra at Bellefonte Area High School had the chance to perform last school year in a variety of concerts, which included the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State ensemble and a spring student showcase.

    The program is led by elementary and high school Orchestra Director Anthony Fortuna.

    Students selected for All-States were chosen by audition among “the best musicians across the state,” Fortuna said.

    They were:

    • Lillian North, bass (state orchestra)
    • Mykayla Cole, horn (state orchestra)
    • Meredith Frey, bass clarinet (state band)
