     The Social Skills course will provide an opportunity for students to work on the following objectives: 

     *Learn skills to support them in school, community, job setting, and life.

    *Learn self-helping and negotiation skills that will assist them in effectively resolving their personal conflicts. 

    *Learn to respect the perspectives and needs of others. 

    *Be exposed to the school’s cultural norm of caring and its expectation of mature, responsible behavior. 

    *Understanding the nature of conflict as they gain the ability to analyze both negative and positive responses to conflict. 

     Various topics will be covered and more may be covered depending on the students.

    Rules and Expectations

    • All students coming to the support room are expected to treat all staff and peers with respect. 
    • All students coming to the support room are to follow all school rules as outlined in the student handbook. 
    • Students will use their time effectively in order to complete the projects and assignments in a timely manner in order to turn in for evaluation.
