Members from the Bellefonte Area High School Class of 2020 participated in a commencement and graduation ceremony June 5 at the high school. This will be followed by a "tassel turn and cap toss" on Friday June 12 open to students only and select faculty and staff at Rogers Stadium. With a drive-up type event, students were able to receive their diplomas and other awards and honors, and walk the stage at one of two locations with waves of cars entering in about 15-minute increments. Vehicles filled with their families and friends could exit and take photos of the moment, which provided for a more personable experience. Many families took photos together on and off stage, while the graduates and families also had the opportunity to mingle with faculty and staff involved, before the next grad arrived. See photos from that day, which include the graduates, their families, decorated vehicles, faculty and staff involved, and more.
*Because of the two-stage setup and one photographer, not all graduates were photographed for this photo gallery, however the high school yearbook staff plans to create a graduation insert that includes all members of the Class of 2020.
