Senior Ben McCartney hits 1,000th point

Senior Ben McCartney is among Bellefonte Area High School’s basketball elite to hit a milestone only six players have ever done for the school – score 1,000 points in a career. He hit the mark on Feb. 5 at a game against East Juniata and ended with a total of 1,098 points.

McCartney was also named a first-team All-Star.
