• Music Activities that can be done anywhere! Have fun!

Feel free to send videos/pictures of you doing these activities to Mrs. Cetnar!

    • Compose a song about washing your hands (it should be at least 20 seconds long!). For extra fun, take a video of you performing your song.

    • Make your own musical instrument using things you may find around your house!! (Make sure to ask permission from the adults in your house before you use these materials!) Use this website for some inspiration. Make your own instrument

    • Listen to your favorite song and draw a picture to go with it.

    • Have a sing-along with the people in your house. Consider teaching them songs that you have learned in music class!

    • Go outside, listen, and draw the sounds that you hear.

    • Read a book out loud and add sound effects to enhance the telling of the story(using instruments, household objects, or body percussion).

    • Listen to a song and list the instruments that you hear.  Also think about the tempo (is it fast or slow), dynamics (loud or soft), and think about if the song sounds happy or sad.

    • Play freeze dance with the people in your house.

    • Watch a movie or TV show and pay special attention to the music that you hear.  What emotion or emotions does the music make you feel and how does this relate to the plot of the story?

    • Write your own lullaby and sing it to a stuffed animal.
