In the district’s fall 2019 Employee Spotlight feature, we have highlighted three district employees. Faculty and staff were randomly selected from the district’s administration, professional staff and support staff. Here, you may find more information about Charleen Casbourne, Sommer Garman and Marisa Maines.
As much as Casbourne enjoys working with special education students at Bellefonte Elementary School, her other passion is art – having studied at the Parsons School of Design in New York City and Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Some of her work can be found on a locker mural in the school – a transitional piece she said features a variety of recognizable artwork. Click here to read more.
Garman never considered anything for her professional career, but one in education. When Maines isn’t teaching third-grade at Bellefonte Elementary School, you can find her on the sidelines helping coach the girls’ soccer team at Bellefonte Area Middle School or in the stands cheering on Penn State football. Click here to read more.
