Students meet son of Holocaust survivor during in-class activity
Students in Andrew Dowd’s eighth-grade English class at Bellefonte Area Middle School had an opportunity that not many get. During an activity earlier in May, students had the chance to speak with the son of a Holocaust survivor. It came during a Holocaust lesson, which required students to also read “The Diary of Anne Frank.”
The event was organized through the Esther Raab Holocaust Museum and Goodwin Education Center. The guest told his family story and participated in a virtual question and answer session with students.
