EXTRA CREDIT PROJECT DIRECTIONS AND GUIDELINES:
-Every Student in my class is allowed to do ONE extra credit project EACH marking period.
-That means they can do a total of FOUR extra credit projects this year if they so choose.
-Depending on the effort and creativity the student puts into their project, they can earn from ONE to THREE extra credit percents on their final marking period grade.
-For example, if a student earns a 87% at the end of the marking period with their in class performance, and they earned three extra credit points for completing an extra credit project, they would have a 90% as their final grade in my class when report cards came out.
-The topic for each extra credit project is completely up to the student's interest, but it does have to be a topic we covered in that marking period.
-The type of extra credit project that they must complete is completely up to the student's interest and imagination, but I do ask that they clear their idea with me before they begin working on it.
-Examples of Prior extra credit projects would be: video presentations, trifold presentations, maps, drawings, scale models, diaramas, arts and crafts projects, etc.
