Local database specialist shows students a robot he created
Scott Haas, a local database specialist, told the robot he created to tell him a joke. Its response was, “Did you hear about the lumberjack who liked his new computer? He especially enjoyed logging in.”
It gave third-grade students at Benner Elementary School a good laugh.
Haas stopped by the school on Dec. 18 to speak with third- and fifth-grade students about a meccanoid robot he built. He explained what went into robot research and how it can function, which includes hooking it up to mobile devices through wireless technology such as Bluetooth.
