Jeff and Gwen Steiner have been Pleasant Gap residents since 2002. Their daughters, Alexa and Zoey, were born in 2003 and 2005. While they were students at Pleasant Gap Elementary School, Gwen served on the Parent Teacher Organization, including three years as its president. Alexa and Zoey are currently students at Bellefonte Area High School.
Jeff Steiner served on the board of directors from 2009 to 2013, then 2017 to 2021, before being reelected for a term from 2022 to 2026. He served as board vice president from 2011 to 2013 and 2019 to 2020 before being elected board president for 2022. Steiner also served as a Central Pennsylvania School Employee Benefit Trust Trustee and as the district’s Central Intermediate Unit 10 representative.
A graduate of Penn State (M.Ed. counseling education), Steiner is the executive director of the Dads’ Resource Center. In this role, he serves on the Centre County Sexual and Domestic Violence Task Force and the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Council, and was appointed as an inaugural member of the Pennsylvania Office of Child Support Enforcement Child and Family Advocates Advisory Board, as well as the central organizer for the Pennsylvania Greater Father Family Involvement Campaign.
