    Rianna Trexler was among four Bellefonte Area student athletes who signed their letters of intent Nov. 13 as a commitment to play a sport in college.

    Trexler will play softball at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, and plans to major in criminal justice. She’s played softball for more than 13 years and has been a member of the two-time district champion Bellefonte Area softball team since seventh grade. As a sophomore, she was named to the Mountain League second team, was a first-team District 6 All-Star, and an All-State honorable mention. She was also named to the Mountain League first-team, and first-team District 6 All-Star in her junior year. Earlier this year she was also named as a preseason Under Armour All-American, and was selected to the Under Armour national team.
