Principal Kris Vancas will try to eat a 24-inch pizza to help benefit school boosters

Ever eat a whole pizza in one sitting? Well, Benner Elementary School Principal Kris Vancas is going to try. It’s part of activities from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 14 at Robin Hood Brewing Co., 1796 Zion Road, Bellefonte, for Benner Elementary Booster Night.

Vancas will be participating in the Giant Pizza Challenge that will allow him to attempt to eat a 24-inch pizza in 30 minutes. He said it’s all in part to raise money for the cause. If the mission is accomplished, the restaurant will donate an additional $250 on top of the already-committed 10 percent of proceeds from food sales.
