• MATH WEBSITES

*Each math lesson can be reviewed & practiced at home by logging in to connected.mcgraw-hill.com. The kids were given usernames & passwords to log in. Their username is 26 followed by their last name initial (capitalized), and their pin (no spaces), and their password is bnbasd1.  Please ask your child to refer to this website for the day’s lesson and all past lessons. This site also has a link to Home Links (homework practice) for each lesson with a review example given. There is a link to tutorial videos, their Student Reference textbook, and practice games.  If your child is unable to find these options on the website’s home page, he or she can click on the 3 bars in the upper left corner under the word “menu” to see a list of choices available to them.

*IXL.com is another excellent website the kids can access at home to practice the day’s lesson topic and their basic math facts. Please remind your child to log in, or the program will only give them a limited amount of practice problems. Their username is their first name initial and full last name@benner (no spaces), and their password is the last 5 digits of their student ID number (what they use at lunch). This website gives the kids a variety of math practice problems, and then provides them with immediate feedback whether they answered each question correctly or incorrectly. If the kids get a question wrong, they should scroll to the bottom of the page to see each step to accurately solve the problem. Taking the time to do this is important so that they learn from their mistakes.

*Please also remind your child to practice his or her basic math facts on the website Multiplication.com. Their username is their first full name and last name initial 16823  (no spaces) and their password is a noun and two digit number given to them at the start of the school year.
