• Small Group Lessons

    Choir 6 & 7/8 - February 2023

Choir members will rotate through a schedule of lessons during period 7 on Days 1-4. Students will start in their period 7 class to get information and notes before heading down to the lesson. (Due to my teaching schedule at the high school, I am unable to rotate into other periods of the day).

Students are required to attend these lessons unless:

-they are failing the class that meets during their lesson

-the class is having a test or project during their lesson time

If the above is happening, students need to fill out a yellow 'Lesson Absence Card' in order for the lesson to be excused or for a make-up time to be scheduled.

The lesson will appear as a 10 point participation grade for the marking period in which it occurs.  If a student misses a lesson and fails to schedule a make-up time, they will receive a ‘0’ for that lesson.

In order to minimize class time missed, groups will rotate on a monthly basis.  This means that students will only be missing 1 class per month for a lesson.  The 7/8 groups will rotate between Days 2 & 4 to avoid having a lesson during the same special each month.

Concert Choir - No Lessons this year (scheduling conflict)

Choir members will rotate through a schedule of lessons during periods 1, 9, & 11 on Days 5 & 6.  Lessons will be held for the first 30 minutes of the respective period block.  Students should check-in with their teacher at the beginning of the period for attendance and to turn in any work due, then come to the choir room for their lesson.  They will return to class for the final hour.
