Teachers at Bellefonte Area School District are encouraged and expected to use the available technological resources to facilitate the development, learning and teaching of 21st-century skills, such as collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking and computing. All students and teachers have Google Apps for Education accounts, which provide access to online file creation, sharing, and storage at school and from home.The International Society for Technology in Education, or ISTE, provides standards for evaluating the knowledge and skills needed for 21st century learning and teaching. The standards can be used as a reference when planning instructional activities.This video provides an explanation of the SAMR -- Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition -- Model, as well as examples of each level.
