  • Hello, and Welcome!  My name is Gina MacFalls and I am the Director of Special Education for the Bellefonte Area School District.  I am proud to be part of such a progressive and vibrant school district. We are proud to offer programs and services individually tailored to meet each student's unique needs. Please navigate through our website to learn about our specific programming options by building.  We embrace inclusion and least restrictive environment for each student and his or her needs. Our goal is to provide excellent programming for ALL students regardless of disability type. I am sure you will find our special education staff to be very student centered and well trained in a variety of curricular and instructional areas. If you are new to the district, I encourage you to call and discuss any concerns you have with me so that we can begin a dialog with the appropriate personnel who will  be servicing your child. Over the past four years we have integrated more autistic support programs for our students who have these needs to include imbedded professional development with staff as well as the implementation of autistic support classrooms at the middle and elementary levels for students who require additional support. In addition, we continue to offer a wide continuum of services and recognize that special education is a service which is build around a student--not a place. Again, I am confident that you will find our administration, school board, teachers, and community very supportive of students with disabilities. With kind regards, Dr. Gina MacFalls, Ed.D.
