In Child Development 1 you will learn the basic concepts of how young children develop and learn from birth to age 5. You will learn the importance of setting up and maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom and implementing best practice. You will take this knowledge and apply it in the Raider Preschool.
In Child Development 2 you will be expected to use the knowledge you learned in Child Development 1 at a higher level and apply it in the Raider Preschool. You will also be expected to utilize the Early Learning Standards in planning and implementing lessons.
