Ski Club and Snow Sports
ATTENTION! The Ski and Snow Sports Club is a go for Bellefonte Area High School students, including those in the hybrid and BeLA educational models. We're working with Tussey Mountain that indicated to us on Sept. 15 they're working on pricing for ski and snowboard packages, and that options may be available later in October as they work to create a plan, including one to mitigate COVID-19. Our goal is to provide our students with deals available exclusively to those who join the club. However, school transportation nor staff supervision will be provided, due to this school year's no-field-trip policy. All students would be required to provide their own transportation to and from destinations, in addition to having proper supervision while on trips. Deadline to sign up is 3:15 p.m. Oct. 1. Late signups will not be accepted. For questions, please contact staff advisers Brit Milazzo or Ryan Pastva at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Ski Club at Bellefonte Area High School, also known as "snow sports," is a great club to join if you enjoy skiing or snowboarding. Each season, we take weekly trips to Tussey Mountain, with school-provided transportation. We also go to various other winter resorts such as Holiday Valley, Killington, Okemo, Seven Springs and more. This is a student-run club, overseen by a student board of directors and facilitated by staff advisers. Our operating budget is based on annual membership dues, and our members are responsible for the cost of trips. We do, however, actively participate in fundraising efforts to offset these costs. Safety is our top priority, and we also aim to have a lot of fun! If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please contact the Ski Club staff advisers. Information subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
