This guide is a publication that includes all the main assessment concepts and topics, illustrated and/or associated with good, clear examples to clarify their meaning and purposes.

There is also a section that deals with how to develop a district-level, or state-level assessment for a subject area. Specific steps commonly followed in designing an assessment for classroom, district or state uses are provided.
