Jay Zimmerman has been teaching in the Bellefonte Area School District since 1982. He is an alumnus of the district and went on to Penn State University to get his Bachelor's Degree in music education. He has taught general music and 5th grade chorus at Bellefonte and Benner Elementary Schools and assisted at the middle school in general music, and chorus. He has assisted with the high school band for 14 years in all areas of the program. He is the organist at St. John's Catholic Church in Bellefonte and directs the adult choir there. He is currently a member of the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha, the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), Music Educators National Conference (MENC), Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) the Elks Lodge and Nittany Country Club.

Susan Zimmerman has been teaching in the Bellefonte Area School District since 1982. Susan went to Penn State University to get her Bachelor's Degree in music education and student taught in instrumental music. She teaches general music and 5th grade chorus at Marion-Walker and Pleasant Gap Elementary Schools. Susan has earned an Integration of Technology certificate from Penn State and serves the district as elementary technology Coordinator. In August 2006 she was named a state Keystone teacher for technology integration from the department of education. She is currently the web master for the BAHS band . Susan is a member of the music sorority, Mu Phi Epsilon , the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), Music Educators National Conference (MENC), Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), The Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology(PAECT) and the Nittany Country Club.

Skip started his band career when he was 5
years old and a state champion baton twirler . He competed in the nbta and won
5 state championships in his younger years , He was a member of the Indian
Valley High school marching band , indoor majorettes and also the California
University of PA Marching Band . This is his 3rd year helping with the
Bellefonte Marching Band , His first year he volunteered as an instructor for
the Indoor-guard and his second season he helped the percussion and the indoor
majorettes, This is Skips first year as the color-guard instructor . Skip is
also the head cheerleading coach for the past 2 seasons and has 14 years of
coaching experience including over 8 national championships and 1 world
championship as well as the 2007 Pennsylvania coach of the year . Skip resides
in Yeagertown Pa. Skip enjoys his opportunity to work with the band and also
enjoys watching and educating students to reach for there goals and become
successful.

Holly Brungard Knepp is in her sixth year as a member of the Bellefonte
Instructional Staff. Holly is a product of the Bellefonte Majorette
Program, and she was a member of the KIDA Blue Champion Squad in 1995 & 1996. Holly is
married to Nathaniel Knepp and they have one son. She is
a Staff Accountant II
for
Shaner Solutions. Holly will
continue her teaching duties this year as Majorette Instructor
and assisting the other instructors as needed..

Trevor began his percussion career with Spectrum Drum and Bugle Corps in 1996. He continued to perform in drum corps for four years. During this time Trevor also marched in Spectrum’s independent WGI indoor drumline from 1997 to 2000.
Trevor then attended IUP where he marched in the drumline for four years and was an active member of the IBN Chapter of the national drumline fraternity Phi Boota Roota.
After college, Trevor had the
opportunity to work with the Lake Erie Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps as a snare
technician in 2005 and 2006. Under his tutelage, Lake Erie's drumline achieved
the highest scores in its 30 plus year history, spring boarding the corps to DCI
finals in 2006.
Trevor has also worked with numerous high school percussion programs. These schools range from Clinton-Massie High School in Clinton, Ohio (BOA competitive band and WGI indoor finalist) to Coatesville High School, a suburb of Philadelphia Pennsylvania (indoor M.A.P.S. champions 2006.)
Trevor is entering his second year as Percussion Caption Head with Bellefonte Area High School marching band and indoor program. He is excited to work with the wonder staff here and is always looking for new students who want to excel in rudimental percussion.
