 Elementary and Middle School Bands

SUMMER BAND -----July 7-18, 2008

The Bellefonte Area School District Instrumental Music Staff will again be offering Summer Band for any student in the elementary or middle school bands.  Summer Band will be held on July 7 - 18 in the Middle School Band Room.  Each daily session will run from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.  There is no charge for Summer Band!

            In addition to the opportunity to play their band instruments everyday, we hope to have some special guest Collegiate Music Students share their time and talent in clinics for the students, and on Friday evening July 18 our Summer Band will perform a public “Mini-Concert” along with the Summer Orchestra beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the BAMS Auditorium.

            It is understood that many families take summer vacations, and many students attend various camps and workshops across the summer, but even if a student is able to attend only a few of the rehearsals, it is well worth it!    We hope all of our band students will participate in all (or at least a portion of) Summer Band!    It is a great way to keep playing those band instruments, and it is a lot of fun, too!
