**ATTENTION - 2008 Cash Giveaway CANCELLED!**
The Bellefonte Wrestling Association regrets
to announce that our Annual Cash Giveaway has been cancelled for September
20, 2008. Due to new policy regulations we are unable to host the Cash
Giveaway this year. We will be refunding any ticket purchases made to
this point. Another opportunity to support our wrestlers will be coming
in the near future.
Anyone who has tickets that have either been sold or unsold needs to
contact Shonnie Robb at 814-383-2234 (Youth Program), Michelle Alterio
at 814-383-4011 (Jr. High Program) or Heide Port at 814-355-2468 (Varsity
Program) to arrange to turn in your tickets and make arrangements for
money to be reimbursed for any sold tickets, as soon as possible. ALL
TICKETS – SOLD OR UNSOLD MUST BE TURNED BACK IN! If you have
any questions you can contact one of the above people or any officer
of the Bellefonte Wrestling Association.
This annual fund raiser has been an enormous success for all three programs
of wrestling in Bellefonte and although the decision to cancel this
event was difficult we are proceeding in the best interests of Bellefonte
Wrestling for this year and many years to come. Please accept our sincerest
apologies for this and also our gratitude to each and every person that
has supported Bellefonte Wrestling. We truly appreciate everyone’s
support and look forward to continued success for Bellefonte Wrestling.

- Meetings are usually held on the 1st Wednesday of each month, at the Middle School, 7:00pm. New members are accepted through the December meeting each year, and the annual dues to be a voting member are $2.00. All interested people are welcome to attend.
- Election for officers for the upcoming year will be held in September.
- Wrestling association assists all
wrestlers in the Bellefonte wrestling
program. Each year the wrestling association contributes part of the fees
for each of our wrestlers to attend summer camp. There are also some funds
available for Bellefonte wrestlers wrestling in the off season, you need to
attend our meetings to request any of the funds. - Current projects:
By-law Revisions - stay tuned for changes and improvements to the current
by-laws. Attend our monthly meetings and have a voice in the direction of
the Wrestling Association.
A committee is meeting currently to come up with a plan that will equally
distribute volunteer opportunities across all levels of our wrestling
program and will help each Bellefonte wrestler and our program.
A budget committee is in the works to help develop a budget for the upcoming
year due to the increased financial assistance that is being requested of
the wrestling association.
