Varsity Wrestling
2007-2008 Season Recap
The 2007/2008 Varsity Wrestling team
started off the season by knocking off BEA (43-25) for the second year
in a row. A great way to start off the season. The Raider's
went on to have one of it's better seasons after that. Finishing
with a dual meet record of 17-6. They were the District 6 Duals
runnerup to a very strong Central Mountain team that went on to finish
2nd at the state duals in Hershey. Our varsity team finished second
at the King of the Mtn Duals, again losing to CM. With a strong
senior class our grapplers entered the District 6 Championships as one
of the favorites to win the team title but came up short placing a strong
2nd. They had a great showing that sent 9 to Regionals.
Out of those 9, the Raiders sent a school record 6 to the PIAA State
Tournament. Congratulations to Coach Walker and our Red Raider
wrestlers on another successful season.
