"Building a Tradition of Excellence"

The BRICKYARD award is a tradition started with the Varsity Swim Teams and is presented to the senior    swimmer (s) that have   sacrificed and contributed to the success of the building our BAHS RAIDER  swimming   program.  "The Brick" represents  the   base  used  in  building  this  lasting foundation.   The coaches determine  which senior  swimmer (s)  are  deserving  of  this  prestigious honor.  The athlete (s) chosen are awarded their own  brick marked  with their senior  season  their graduating year and a sequential number that is only ever issued to them.  This  number is recoded      on a directory on this website and on a plaque displayed outside their training pool at the Bellefonte YMCA. The tradition dates back to 2002 when the first "official" BAHS swim team was recognized     by PIAA standards. Since then, our Team has steadily  grown by the dedication and perseverance of    it's members.  The "BRICKYARD" award  winners  have all directly contributed to  the  excellence that  has  made  BELLEFONTE AREA HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING  a  competitive  and  successful athletic   program.    As  the  names  on  the   "BRICKYARD"  wall  continue  to  grow,  so   will  the BELLEFONTE AREA HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING program.
