Summer School

Middle and High School

 

Dates:                                      7/9/12 – 8/3/12 (Monday – Friday)

 

Time:                                       Session 1                     8 – 9:30 a.m. (Math and Science)

                                                Session 2                     9:30- 11 a.m. (LA and Social Studies)

 

Location:                                 Middle School Students at BAMS

                                                High School Students at BHS Computer Labs

 

Cost:                                        High School:  $200 per course (max of two courses allowed)

                                                Middle School: $150 per course (max of two courses allowed)

 

Courses Offered:                     Four core content areas (Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies)

 

Student Eligibility:                 All students enrolling in summer school classes must have failed the course during a regular school year.

 

Registration:                           Students will register with their Guidance Counselor no later than 6/28/12.  BAMS students register with main office.

 

Payment:                                 Make Checks payable to:  BASD

 

Attendance:                             Students may have no more than one absence per course during their summer school term in order to earn full credit.  (An exception may be made for an additional absence if a doctor excuse is provided).

                                               

                                                Students may have no more than two tardies to class per course during their summer school term in order to earn full credit. 

 

Transportation:                       Parents/Guardians and/or Students must provide own transportation.

 

Student Parking:                    High School Students may park in upper student parking lot

 

Student Discipline:                 Students will be held to and adhere to the BASD student code of conduct.  Any disciplinary infractions will result in termination from summer school with no refund.

Working Ahead from Home:         Students will be given evening time slots in which they can access their summer school course from home.

 

Completion of Course:                  Students, who complete the course prior to the last day of summer school, including all assignments and exams, may have the opportunity to end summer school early at the approval of building administration.
