At the meeting of the Bellefonte Area School Board held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, the following action was taken:

 

District

  • Approved the minutes of the March 21, 2006, Board Meeting

 Discussion and/or Presentation Items

  • CPI Budget Review for 2006-07

  • 2006 – 2007 Budget Review

  • Guidance/Psychologist Update

 

 Personnel

  • Accepted the retirement/resignation of Mrs. Rosemary Wood, effective the last day of the 2005-06 school year.

  • Accepted the retirement/resignation of Mrs. Gay Homan, effective the last day of the 2005-06 school year.

  • Accepted the retirement/resignation of Mr. Scott Williams, effective the last day of the 2005-06 school year.

  • Approved FMLA requests.

  • Approved uncompensated leave requests for Mrs. Renee Clouse and Mrs. Rebecca Schreffler.

  • Approved Daniel R. Besch, Jr., to participate in the AP Summer Institute for Teachers at Goucher College, Baltimore, Maryland, on June 19-23, 2006.

  • Approved student internships.

  • Approved re-leveling of Mrs. Paula Haagen’s position from Level C to Level D when her assignment is as a Library Clerk.

  • Approved the addition of High School and Middle School Orchestra Director to the Extra-Duty Extra-Pay schedule.

  • Approved substitute rates for the 2006-07 school year.

  • Approved additions to the Professional and Support Staff Substitute Listings.

 

Education and School Activities

  • Approved homebound instruction for a Bellefonte Area High School student.

  • Approved the adoption of the Language Arts Series Trophies by Harcourt for Grades 3, 4, and 5.

  • Approved the 2006-07 school calendar as presented.

  • Approved student activity trips.

 

Finance

  • Approved the CPI Budget for the 2006-07 school year as presented.

 

Other

  • Approved the request by Faith Centre to use the Bellefonte Area High School football field on September 22-23, 2006.

  • Accepted the gift of a TASCAM TEAC Professional CD-RW 750 CD Rewritable Deck from Watermarke Christ’s Church of Bellefonte.
