At the meeting of the Bellefonte Area School Board held on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, the following action was taken:

 

District

 

  • Approved the minutes of the December 6, 2005, Reorganization Meeting and the December 6, 2005, Regular Meeting
  • Approved the Treasurer’s Report
  • Approved the Board Bill lists for the General Fund, Athletics Fund, Construction Fund, Cafeteria Fund, High School Activities Fund, and Middle School Activities Fund
  • Approved the Investment Report

 Personnel

 

  • Accepted the resignation of Ms. Tracie Drumheller, Bellefonte Area High School Librarian, effective January 13, 2006
  • Accepted the resignation of Mr. Justin Evey, sixth grade teacher at Bellefonte Area Middle School, effective January 6, 2006
  • Approved Ms. Rosa L. Osborn as a long-term substitute Spanish teacher at the Bellefonte Area Middle School for the second semester of the 2005-06 school year
  • Approved Mr. Gene A. Auman as a crew custodian effective January 9, 2006.  Mr. Auman’s initial assignment is second shift at Bellefonte Elementary School.
  • Approved short-term uncompensated leave requests for Mr. Gene Martz and Ms. Cynthia A. Webster
  • Approved additions to the Professional and Support Staff substitute listings
  • Approved conference requests for:  Ms. Nicole Naugle, Mr. Greg Kohlhepp, Mr. Mike Wilson, and Mrs. Anne Hutcheson
  • Approved student internships
  • Approved the revised job description for Van Driver/Custodian

 Education and School Activities

  • Approved the Bellefonte Area High School 2006-07 Course Description Booklet
  • Approved a trip request for Bellefonte Area High School Model UN students to Kent State University

Transportation

 

  • Approved Donald L. Robinson as a bus driver for S & C Operations, Inc.

Finance

 

  • Approved Janet Houser as Tax Collector for Benner Township

 Other

 

  • Approved Policy No. 011 – Board Governance Standards/Code of Conduct
  • Approved an agreement with The Oaks at Pleasant Gap to allow their residents the use of Pleasant Gap Elementary School as an emergency/disaster facility in case of an emergency
