At the meeting of the Bellefonte Area School Board held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, the following action was taken:

Personnel

¨      Accepted the resignation of Mrs. Chera Mason, Reading Specialist at Bellefonte Elementary School, effective December 21, 2006

¨      Accepted the resignation of Mrs. Pamela Stone, special education teacher at Bellefonte Area Middle School, effective November 16, 2006

¨      Accepted the resignation of Mr. Edward H. Gummo as a school police officer effective October 16, 2006

¨      Appointed Ms. Megan Lucas as a 6.0 hour/day Level C Personal Care Aide at a rate of $11.41/hr

¨      Appointed Mrs. Renae Purnell as a Duplication Clerk in the Central Copy Center, effective November 28, 2006

¨      Appointed Mr. Steve Sellers as a Level D Crew Custodian at a rate of $12.09/hr, effective November 15, 2006

¨      Approved additions to the Professional and Support Staff Substitute Listings

¨      Gave approval for Mr. Gene Martz to take an unpaid leave on February 22 & 23, 2007

¨      Approved a salary change for Ms. Patricia Correll from M15 – 22 to M30 – 22

 

Education and School Activities

¨      Approved volunteers

¨      Established an Art Club at Bellefonte Area High School

¨      Approved Pre-Service Student Teachers

¨      Approved the continuation of the Penn State Collaborative

¨      Gave approval for Bellefonte Elementary School 2nd grade students to attend a ballet performance at the Mischler Theatre, Altoona, PA, on December 7, 2006

 

Transportation

¨      Approved Mrs. Sue Watson as a Driver for S & C Operations

 

Finance

¨      Approved Change Orders for the Bellefonte Area High School Project and Marion-Walker Elementary School Project

¨      Accepted the donation from Citizens Bank in the amount of $500 and from Straley Veterinary Services in the amount of $100, to be used by the Bellefonte Area High School Renaissance Program

¨      Approved the 2007-2008 budget calendar

 

Other

¨      PlanCon K, Project Refinancing, for Lease Number 062247 has been approved by the Department of Education

¨      Accepted the Auditor General’s Audit report for fiscal years ended June 30, 2004 and 2003

¨      Gave approval to award bids for the purchase and delivery of school furniture for the Marion-Walker Elementary School building/renovations project in the amount of $5,618.56
