Day 5

ALL STUDENTS

 

Once again Nurse Georgi will provide a homeroom party to the first homeroom in each grade to turn their emergency cards.

Good luck and get those cards in

 

There will be a Key Club meeting in the choir room on Thursday, September 11th at 7:30 am for anyone interested in joining the club.  Please attend to learn more about this service group and the exciting events planned for the year.

 

Fight to make our school a better place.  Become a prayer warrior.  Come to the first Bellefonte Student prayer meeting on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:40 am in Room 157 across from the library.  Everyone is welcome.

 

Beginning on Wednesday, the library will be open for study halls.  You must come to the library to get a pass BEFORE school.

 

Any student interested in the Reading Competition Team or Book Club please see Mrs. Packer in the library ASAP.  We will have our first Reading Competition team meeting on September 16.  Book Club will meet September 17.

 

Employment Opportunity:  Long John Silvers is currently looking for part-time employees to work as cooks and cashiers.  They are willing to be flexible with your schedules.  Please contact Beverly at 238-7275 for more information.


The first Model UN Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9 at 7:30 am in room 232. All are welcome. See Mr. Fitzgerald if you have any questions about the organization.

 

What to play around?  Then you should join the DRAMA CLUB!  Our first meeting will be held Wednesday, September 10 at 3:30 in the theatre. We have an exciting year planned and would love to have your involvement.  Don't be upstaged!  Come to the meeting and find out who we are and what we do.

 

The Council for America's First Freedom announces a national essay contest for students in grades 9-12.  Details can be found on the BAHS Guidance Web page under scholarship opportunities or you can stop by and talk to your guidance counselor.

 

SOPHOMORES

There will be a morning meeting for the Sophomore Class representatives at 7:30 on Tuesday, September 9th in room 156. Please attend this important meeting!

 

JUNIORS

 

Attention juniors! There will be a Class Cabinet meeting in room 235, Ms. Robinson's room on Wednesday, September 10 at 7:30 am.  It is very important that you attend.  We will be taking attendance and planning the Homecoming float as well as the Fall Fundraiser!

 

JUNIORS & SENIORS

 

All new members of National Honor Society those who turned in the application by Friday, September 7:  The FIRST MEETING will be on Thursday, September 11, at 7:30 am in Mrs. Jackson’s room 213.  It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO ATTEND THIS MEETING.

 

SENIORS

 

Parking permits will be issued to seniors only on Thursday, September 11 at 6 am Please have a copy of your registration, insurance and drivers license Parking permits will cost $10.00. Stop by the student office and pick up the driving handbook, which requires signatures and other information

 

Have you made a difference by volunteering in your community over the past year?  The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards has an opportunity for you to win $1,000 and a fabulous trip to Washington, D.C., next May. More details are available on the BAHS Guidance web page under scholarship opportunities.

 

All senior current members of National Honor Society those who joined last year:  The FIRST MEETING will be on Friday, September 12, at 7:30 am in Mrs. Jackson’s room 213.  We need to organize the Clothing Drive.  Remember that you must attend meetings to remain eligible in NHS!
